If you have just updated your Java version and can’t get into your internet banking (or other Java depenent application), you may find that your settings have reverted to a default that some of our banks don’t like. Have a look at and try the instructions below and you should be fine.
Open your control panel. Click on your Java link
There are tabs along the top. Click on the “Advanced” tab.
Scroll down the page and you will find an option with the title “Check for certificate revocation using”. it is likely that the option that has been enabled is “Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs)”. Please click the next option “Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP)”.
Click on “Apply” and restart your browser. You should be back into your banking without a problem.
